Solar

Solar done right exists. So does solar explained right.

We have access to the whole market of Florida installers and lenders. That is why we can tell you whether solar makes sense, which of the 4 ways to get it fits your home, and when it is better not to.

The uncomfortable truth

Solar does not make sense in every case. A low bill, a roof without usable space or with few years left, or heavy shade can make it not worth it. We would rather tell you that than sell you a system that underperforms.

What we check

What we look at in your home

01

Your 12 bills

The system is sized from your real usage, month by month, not a neighborhood average. We design at ~110% so there is surplus, not shortfall.

02

Your roof

Age, material, orientation and shade. If the roof has few years left, the roof comes first.

03

Your utility

FPL, Duke and TECO credit 1 to 1 with net metering. Municipal utilities and co-ops have their own rules that change the math.

04

How you pay

Cash, loan, lease/PPA or a 3-5 year subscription. Each changes who owns the system, who gets the tax credit and what happens when you sell.

+ When it makes sense

  • High, steady electric bill
  • Roof with space, good orientation and years of life left
  • FPL, Duke or TECO service with 1-to-1 net metering
  • You want a predictable bill that stops rising every year

— When it doesn’t

  • Low bill: the economics don’t work
  • Heavy shade or a roof due for replacement
  • You plan to sell very soon and don’t want to transfer a contract
  • Municipal utility without 1-to-1 net metering

How we solve it

From diagnosis to result

  1. Diagnosis

We look at your home’s real numbers and tell you if it makes sense. You get it in writing.

  2. Compared proposal

If it does, we show you the real market options for your case: installer, equipment and payment method.

  3. Installation by a verified partner

Installers with a track record, not the ones that disappear. We stay with you through permission to operate.

  4. Minimum Bill Guarantee

If the system produces less than promised in any month, we pay the difference. For the life of the system.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a solar system cost in Florida?
It depends on size and payment method. Our guides publish sourced ranges and explain what moves the price. What matters is comparing price per watt and the promised monthly production, not just the payment.
What about the federal tax credit in 2026?
The 30% credit for buyers ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. Third-party-owned systems (lease/PPA) keep capturing it through 2027. Confirm with your tax preparer; we explain it in the federal credit guide.
What is the solar subscription?
A 3- or 5-year contract with a fixed monthly payment, no credit or debt, with savings guaranteed by contract. Available in Central Florida with FPL, Duke or TECO. Not for everyone: we compare it with the other options in the diagnosis.
Who installs?
We work with several verified installers depending on your area and case. We are not tied to one brand: we choose the partner for your project, not for a commission.
